8th Floorball Championship

India´s 8th National Floorball Championship was played with over 700 Players and 34 teams from 15 states of India.

The championships included sub-junior, junior and senior categories and the event was were attended by Dr. Prabhat Kumar, President of InFF.

Team Uttarakhand won both the men´s and women´s championships.

Best Player – Vishal Chauhan (Delhi)
Best Goalkeeper – Deepak Bisht (Uttarakhand)

Women Champion: Uttarakhand
Best Player – Mamta Negi (Uttarakhand)
Best Goalkeeper – Deepa (MP)

Junior Category U18
U18 Men Champion: Chhattisgarh
Best Player – Revanth (Karnataka)
Best Goalkeeper – Haryana
U18 Women Champion: Delhi
Best Player – Nancy (Delhi)
Best Goalkeeper – Akansha (Uttar Predesh)

Sub-Junior Category (U14)

U14 Men Champion: Uttar Pradesh
Best Player – Adiya Pratap Singh (Delhi)
Best Goalkeeper – H. Robert Singh (Manipur)
U14 Women Champion: Uttar Pradesh
Best Player – Himani (Karnataka)
Best Goal Keeper – Teena (Delhi)

The tournament was also visited by Finnish and Swedish guests that then played an exhibition match against Indian players.

 When Kosti Rautiainen learnt about this tournament through the media he visited the Championship venue with a team of players from Sweden and Finland and a match was played against Indian players. The spectators and the players of different states enjoyed the match, Pradeep Singh, Genenral Secretary of the InFF informed.
