The 13th National Floorball Championships ( U17 & U14 – Boys and Girls ) were held at Yuva Shakti Model School, Rohini, New Delhi from September 30- October 02, 2018. The 4-day event saw the participation by 647 players from 47 teams representing 17 states. It was managed by over 100 officials. Speaking on the Occasion, the Chief Guest, Mrs. Meena Tyagi, S.D.M. said that she was very impressed with the game and wished all the participants from across the country a successful Championship.
Mr. Atul Gupta, the Ex- President of Indian Floorball Federation highlighted the achievements of InFF in last 5 years. He said that participation in International events should be our priority.
Mr. Harinder Kumar, President, InFF welcomed all the players. He announced that this was the biggest event so far in this category. He said that Floorball is developing fast and in next few years India should work for making its place in the International arena.
Dr. Pradeep Singh, General Secretary, InFF emphasized on the quality of play. He also thanked the players and officials from various states for having come all the way to participate in this mega event.
The 4-day event saw tough competition and neck to neck fights between various states. For the first time the monopoly of Delhi state was challenged in all the categories.
The championship marked the emergence of a number of states which have been working for last few years and have been training the youngsters.
Sh. Shambhu Dayal Sharma Ji, The chief guest at the closing ceremony and Sh. Atul Gupta gave away the prizes to the winning teams. Speaking on the occasion he said he was proud to the part of the Floorball Fraternity in India. The event ended with a vote of thanks from mr. Ashok Kumar, Organizing Secretary, 13 th National Floorball Championship.
