The Indian Floorball Federation (InFF) and the Himachal Pradesh Floorball Association (HPFA) have successfully conducted a three day International Floorball Development Seminar for Coaches and Referees.
The seminar was organised at Kehloor Indoor Stadium Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh from 11th to 13th September 2014 as a part of the InFF activities to develop the sport in India. This seminar is the first International event organised by InFF, after having been approved as IFF members last year.
This was just a step further for our endless journey for excellence in Floorball. We are working hard to train a national team for the future international events. This seminar helps us to further strengthen our resources and enrich them with knowledge. I want to thank to Mr. Saravanan who worked very hard for all three days to train each participant, says Dr. Prabhat Kumar (IAS) InFF President.
The seminar was attended by 48 participants from all over India, in order to strengthen the development of floorball in the country. The seminar was mainly focusing on how to teach floorball to the Indian schools and build teams. In addition the participants were given a basic information of the Floorball Rules and how to referee games. The seminar was conducted by the IFF lecturer Mr. Saravanan Rajamanikam, who is the Singapore Men’s National Team Coach and has acted as a referee in Singapore.
The feedback given by the participants was very positive and the coaches were able to use their learnings in the tournament played in connection to the seminar. At the end of the seminar, every participant of both streams gone through the Practical and Theory test to check the understanding level of each individual. Mr. Saravanan briefed each one for their short fall and scope of improvement.
– This seminar helps us a lot to analyse further our preparation level and understanding of floorball. I’m really thankful for Mr. Saravanan for his effort and precious time that he had took out for this event.
