1st World Virtual Freestyle Floorball Cup ( WVFFC) 2020

Our Indian daughter won the World Virtual Freestyle Floorball Cup (WVFFC) 2020 – Sangeeta Rathi creates history for floorball in India by becoming the winner!

Hearty congratulations to Indian women’ team captain Sangeeta Rathi for winning the World Virtual Freestyle Floorball Cup 2020 for the first time.

For the first time in Asia and in the history of floorball in India and Asia continent, female player – Sangeeta Rathi who reached the final and victory took place and became the world champion. Sangeeta Rathi represented India as the Indian women’s team captain at AOFC, Singapore in 2018. She has also won the best player award in India 8 times.

Details about the Cup:
From 12 October to 12 November, the first WVFFC competition was held, in which players showed tricks and skills within a time-limit (15–30 seconds).
On 3 November, the International Floorball Federation announced the top 10 (3 female and 7 male) in the adult category among 70 participants from 27 different countries.

The 10 finalists from the world were:
1-Sangeeta Rathi (India, Asia)
2- Elin Durling (Sweden)
3- Anna Lena (Germany)
4-Da-Piedde (Cote d’lvoire)
5-David Brambilla (Italy,)
6-Floorballzone (Germany)
7-Jason Bougard (France)
8- Nicolas Flathmann (Germany)
9- Tobias Vermund (Norway)
10- Kevin Rosen (Sweden)

The winner was decided through social media by the International Floorball Federation (IFF) Facebook and the International Floorball Federation (IFF) via voting on Instagram.

Voting was held from November 3 to November 12.
