The 13th National Floorball Championships for U17 and U14 boys and girls were organised at Yuva Shakti Model School, Rohini, New Delhi between 30th of September and 2nd of October 2018.<\/span><\/span><\/h4><\/header><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
<\/p>\n

647 players from 7 teams representing 17 states participated in the 4-day event. The Championships were managed by 100 officials and marked the emergence of a number of states which have been working hard\u00a0the last few years and have been training the youngsters.<\/p>\n

The Chief Guest,\u00a0Mrs. Meena Tyagi<\/strong>, S.D.M. said that she was very impressed with the game and wished all the participants from across the country a successful Championship.<\/p>\n

Mr. Atul Gupta<\/strong>, the Ex-President of Indian Floorball Federation highlighted the achievements of the\u00a0Indian Federation\u00a0during the last\u00a0five years. He said that participation in international events should be the priority. Then\u00a0Mr. Harinder Kumar<\/strong>,<\/strong>President of Indian Floorball Federation, welcomed all the players. He announced that this was the biggest event so far in this category. He said that floorball is developing fast and in the next few years India should work for making its place in the international arena.<\/p>\n

The Championships\u00a0included tough competition and neck to neck fights between various states. For the first time the monopoly of Delhi state was challenged in all the categories. The final results were:<\/p>\n

Boys U17<\/strong>:

\nRunner-up: Delhi
\n3rd Position: Maharashtra
\n4th Position: Madhya Pradesh<\/p>\n

Best Player: Ashish, Haryana
\nRising Star: Aakash, Haryana
\nBest Defender: Ajay Nehra , Haryana
\nBest Goalkeeper: Parvesh, Haryana<\/p>\n

Girls U17<\/strong>:
\nWinner: Uttarakhand
\nRunner-up: Maharashtra
\n3rd Position: Tamilnadu
\n4th Position: Bihar<\/p>\n

Best Player: Himani, Uttarakhand
