The 9th National Floorball Championships for Men, Women, U14 Boys and Girls in India were played\u00a0at the end of January 2015 in New Delhi.<\/b><\/p>\n
InFF conducted 9th National Floorball Championship from 27th- 29th January 2015 at state of the art Tyagraj Indoor Stadium. This\u00a0Stadium has also hosted the\u00a0Commonwealth games in 2010.<\/p>\n
Participants from 20 states\u00a0and more than\u00a0680 players played in the event.
\nThe tournament\u00a0was inaugurated by\u00a0Mr. Rohit Nandan<\/b>, CMD, Air India. The opening ceremony was\u00a0led\u00a0by\u00a0Dr. Prabhat Kumar<\/b> (IAS), President of\u00a0Indian Floorball Federation. In his welcome speech, he congratulated each player. He assured that InFF will continue to make Floorball more popular in India.<\/p>\n
The ceremony included\u00a0a march\u00a0with all participating states accompanied by a band of CISF. There were live dance performances of school children from Yuva Shakti Model School, Rohini and also\u00a0Indian classical folk dance\u00a0performed by\u00a0Ms<\/b>\u00a0Bharti<\/b>. Impressive\u00a0floorball\u00a0zorro show by\u00a0Mrinal\u00a0<\/b>Naugain<\/b>,\u00a0Pankaj Tiwari<\/b>,\u00a0Sangita\u00a0<\/b>Rathi<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Yash\u00a0<\/b>Manocha<\/b>\u00a0was also performed.<\/p>\n
This\u00a0big tournament which span of three days,\u00a0the matches start early morning and stretched till late night. 300 officials and volunteer from 20 states ensured a smooth running of the event.<\/p>\n
\u2013 The enthusiasm among players and the increasing amount of players taking part in the tournament proves that this sport is\u00a0growing in popularity<\/i>, says Arwind Kumar Singh, InFF Media Coordinator.<\/p>\n
